I like the "How to repair" item great pics. I havent crashed mine as yet but have been flying long enough to know that s--t happens.

I also purchased a new 2200mAh battery.
My task was to convert all the connections to Dean connections so I set about cutting the E-flite plugs off and soldering the new Deans plugs on. It was all going well till the moment I was changing the connector on the Brand new Blade 400 heli.
The wife was nagging for cash and would not go away, she was sending me mad. At that moment I solded the wires on to the Dean plug the wrong way round and never noticed. The wife was still going on (you know what i mean really going on Even slaging my hobby)
I then plugged the battery in to the heli and there was a bang, flash and loads of smoke ----- my world had ended ----and wife ran off thinking the house was soon to blow up.

I just received spare spindles, and will do replacement tonight, but after reading through the info I didn't see anything about how to determine how many shims are needed by the O ring. Is it critical, and should I lubricate the parts as I re-assemble?
