Blade 400 Problem

The flybar on my Blade 400 is bent and I need instructions on how to replace it. I took one of the paddles off one end and tried to pull it through but it won't move! I will be thankfull for any help.

RE: Blade 400 Problem

Hi all,
If it's bent, either blade grip mightl go up and down as you turn. If it's not bent, you shouldn't see much movement at all. If one or the other side rises or falls as you turn, it's probably bent.

twoslick2, you should have gotten an owners manual with this heli. it shows an exploded view of the main rotor head. maybe that will help you. good luck.

RE: Blade 400 Problem

The seesaw holding the flybar has two small grubscrews top and bottom on each side locking the flybar. (See pic attached.)

When you remove all four (two each side) the flybar will come free, but is often quite stiff in the holders. There are flats on the bar for the screws to lock into. They allow a little side-side adjustment to get the balance exactly right. Take time to make certain of the balance when you reassemble. It is very important.
